Design commodity

How much do you think the average client cares about the technical part of a solution? Correct, they don’t. They are buying solutions to problems not technological architecture. Technology has become a commodity, and when you talk about it all they are hearing is “Fnaar fnaar fnaar fnaar fnaar fnaar.”

If the form loads and the ticket purchase goes through… that’s when they stop caring.

Let’s ask the same question of design. Everyone loves design. Everyone cares what it looks like and how it behaves. Everyone. Beauty, elegance, considered simplicity. These are things that everyone appreciates whether they know it or not.

Great design will never be commoditised.
