Stitch is my ultimate success at Vanquis bank.
Stitch is a multi-brand inclusive design system. Built in collaboration with Tall, my agency partner since March 2020, Stitch allows the Vanquis design team to own the UX and UI across all four group brands.
Built in Figma, and making use of design tokens, Stitch is like many other design systems out there - but we took it a few stages further. We baked inclusive design and real-time channel updates into our tooling.
Every template, pattern, and component can adapt not only to the brand identity, but also to the broad range of customer needs. High contrast, low contrast, large text, read aloud content, even a different language. This allows people to theme their banking experience as they want it.
Stitch is now Version 1 complete and in use across all digital channels that are in rebuild. Version 2 will see the implementation of our new Figma plugin and token API, which allows design changes to be pushed live to all our channels in real time. This enables us to see a problem, fix it, and have it in the customer's hands the same day.
